Fortress Louisbourg : Fortress Louisbourg is a Canadian National Historic Site. The following blurb from the Nova Scotia website correctly describes this place -- "A faithful re-creation of a town 250 years ago, with impressive walls and majestic gates, quaint homes and formal gardens, comfortable inns and lively taverns. Costumed animators re-create the lives and activities of Fortress residents. Enjoy 18th-century cuisine in reconstructed restaurants." It was an overcast day with blues skies playing 'hide and seek' (mostly hide). The hour and 1/4 walking tour was extrememly interesting.

Marine Drive : The Marine Drive stretches from Halifax/Dartmouth to the Canso Causeway along the south shore of Nova Scotia. There are a great many beach and day use provincial parks along the coast; interesting and picturesque shorelines and villages. Of special interest was Sherbrooke Village.

Passing through New Brunswick - going and returning : To get to beautiful Nova Scotia, we drove through equally beautiful New Brunswick. Our first stop on the trip was in Grand Sault/Grand Falls New Brunwick. We also drove a bit to the east of Grand Falls to visit gorgeous New Denmark. On our way back home at the end of the vacation, we stopped in Fredericton and visited with Family.
