What is Photo Art? One of the best definitions that I've come across was written by Danny Raphael over at the RetouchPro Forum. He wrote,
"Art that is created using computer software in which a photo image is used as a basis or reference." My interest in this started with me trying to make note cards, I wanted some of my photos to look more like paintings. I started playing with the photos in PaintShop Pro using some of the built-in tools as well as scripts written by others, I then learned about other programs such as
Fotosketcher and
Dynamic Auto-Painter. Then I discovered how to simulate watercolours in PhotoShop. Included here are a few of my attempts to produce Art created from a photo.
